Flower Canvas for the Dusty Attic

Hi there! So it’s getting colder here in the Netherlands as we’re getting closer to winter. I love the cold and dark days to be honest and I love to hide in my studio for a while when the days are getting shorter.

I taught a class last Saturday and every time I try to create together with the students but I always get caught up with the things they do instead. This time I actually made it to the part where I attached the flowers to the canvas but then I stopped…lol. So I don’t have a video this time but I’ll do my best explaining to you what I’ve done to create this piece. The November mood board was my inspiration for this canvas and the colors for this month are super pretty!

So using Lindy’s Spray on the chipboard and finishing with a layer of thick embossing enamel creates this gorgeous glossy effect and I love to use this technique on my DA chipboard. This canvas didn’t need a lot so I kept it a bit simple with only two large swirls and a cute text.

Those cute glass pebbles are painted on the back using a soft pastel salmon color. Perfect with the rest of the canvas! This aren’t colors I would normally choose so this months moodboard was quite challenging, but I do really like how it turned out.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great day!
